Future Roadmap

Building the AI music trust layer in the open.

Follow the AIMI and AIMSO roadmap from foundational registry infrastructure to broader industry participation, with each phase clearly marked by its current status.

We are in Phase 1 (Foundation). Roadmap timelines are estimates and will evolve with industry input and community participation.

Phase 1
In Progress

Foundation

Core infrastructure: registry system, H0–H5 classification framework, AIMI Score v1.0, basic chart ingestion, and public-facing platform.

AIMI Registry with permanent IDs (creators, labels, tracks, prompts, voices)
AIMSO H0–H5 classification framework
AIMI Score v1.0 (30/25/20/15/10 weighting)
Public charts, methodology, and governance pages
Creator and label onboarding workflows
Founding Registry and Council formation
Phase 2
Planned

Judge Engine

Automated classification and scoring engine. AI-assisted review for H-level assignment, prompt innovation scoring, and verification triage.

Automated H-level pre-classification from prompt and metadata analysis
Prompt innovation scoring engine
Verification triage and fraud detection
Appeals and review workflow automation
Bulk catalog processing for labels
Phase 3
Planned

Provenance Layer

Immutable provenance chain linking prompts, voices, models, tracks, and creators. Establishes traceability for rights management and attribution.

Prompt-to-track provenance chain
Voice model consent and usage tracking
Model lineage and dataset disclosure
Rights and attribution graph
Provenance API for third-party verification
Phase 4
Planned

Agent-Native Protocol

Standards and APIs for AI agents creating, distributing, and managing music. Agent identity, disclosure protocols, and automated compliance.

Agent identity registry (AIMI-AGENT-######)
Automated AI disclosure protocol
Agent-to-platform compliance API
Real-time classification for agent-generated content
Agent rights and attribution framework
Phase 5
Planned

Ecosystem Partnerships

Industry-wide adoption through partner integrations, licensed standards, data feeds, and cross-platform verification networks.

Platform integration partnerships (Spotify, Apple, YouTube, TikTok)
Distribution pipeline standards licensing
Cross-platform verification network
Industry analytics and market intelligence APIs
Global certification and membership programs
Phase 6
Planned

API & Provenance Roadmap

Public APIs and provenance infrastructure for the AI music industry. Ordered by dependency and industry priority.

Public Registry API — lookup tracks, creators, labels by AIMI ID
Verification API — programmatic verification status and trust score retrieval
Audio Fingerprinting — content-based identification and duplicate detection
C2PA Credentials — tamper-evident provenance metadata embedded in files
Audio Watermarking — inaudible persistent identifiers for AI-generated content
Agent-Native Ingestion — AI agents register and classify content autonomously
Webhooks & SDKs — real-time event streaming and developer tooling

Adoption-Facing Feature

Public Track Trust Profiles.

Every registered track gets a clean, shareable public trust profile at /tracks/{aimi_song_id} — making AIMI Ledger feel like a verifiable public utility.

Why public profiles matter

  • Creators can share verified registry identity and trust scores with fans, distributors, and partners.
  • Journalists can cite transparent methodology, scores, and verification status in coverage.
  • Platforms can inspect trust fields, H-Level classification, and source confidence tiers.
  • Labels & Attorneys can review disclosure, verification status, and provenance metadata.
  • Researchers can access transparent scoring breakdowns and data source methodology.

What's included

  • AIMI-SONG ID, H-Level, AIMSO Rating, and verification status
  • Full AIMI Score v1.0 breakdown with five weighted components
  • Prompt Innovation section with novelty mode (pgvector / fallback)
  • Platform Diversity (HHI) explanation and multiplier
  • Verification & provenance status cards with Phase 3 roadmap items
  • Copy AIMI ID, copy profile link, and share buttons
Next Backend Milestone
Post-Public Trust Profiles

B: Asynchronous Cohort Engine

After Public Track Trust Profiles, the next backend milestone is the Asynchronous Cohort Engine. This will use the CohortCache model to compute percentile rankings within H-Level cohorts in the background, enabling real-time cohort-relative score normalization without blocking score calculation or profile rendering.

Background CohortCache rebuild via POST /api/v1/rebuild-cohort-cache
Percentile ranking within H-Level cohorts
Asynchronous — does not block score calculation
Enables cohort-relative normalization for fair cross-genre comparison
